Joseph Exalted | Genesis 41
After 2-years of being forgotten by the chief cupbearer, God gave Pharaoh two dreams which instigated the release and exaltation of Joseph. When no wise man could interpret Pharaoh’s dreams the cupbearer informed Pharaoh that Joseph could. After Joseph faithfully interpreted the dreams, God elevated Joseph and demonstrated His sovereignty in controlling the economic life of Egypt as He worked to accomplish the salvation and preservation of Israel through Joseph’s preparation. In this study we learn that God’s people are to be humble, God-dependent ambassadors for Christ who seek the welfare of this world.
