Disciple Making in a Fallen World (Part 1)

Disciple Making in a Fallen World (Part 1)

The fruit-bearing disciple making work of Paul and Barnabas rouses the forces of darkness, bringing intense opposition and persecution from the Jews. As they continue on their journey, traveling through the predominately Gentile cities of Iconium, Lystra and Derbe, they challenged religious ideas that confuse God and the world and proclaim the living God and his grace. Despite the intense opposition God granted these men courage and perseverance and an abundance of new disciples. Follow along as Craig looks at nine qualities of effective and faithful Disciple Making displayed in the life of Paul and Barnabas. The first five are:

  1. Disciple makers speak is such a way that saves people (v. 1)
  2. Disciple makers show courage in the face of opposition (vv. 2-7)
  3. Disciple makers point people away from themselves (vv. 8-15)
  4. Disciple makers point people to Christ despite the cost (vv. 15-19)
  5. Disciple makers persevere when stoned (vv. 20-21)
