The Crucifixion and the Christian Life | Galatians 2:20

The Crucifixion and the Christian Life | Galatians 2:20

In Galatians 2:20, the apostle Paul explains the ramifications of Christ’s crucifixion for our lives as Christians. Through our union with Christ, we as believers have been crucified with Christ and Christ now lives in us through the Holy Spirit. In Christ, we are dead to our sin, to the mosaic law, and to our old ways of life. The Holy Spirit also gives us new life in Christ. Baptism, which we celebrated this Sunday, beautifully represents our death to sin and new life in Christ.
