Take Heart … I Have Faith in God!

Take Heart … I Have Faith in God!

After appealing to Caesar, the Apostle Paul is placed under the care of Julius the centurion, along with a couple hundred other prisoners, who takes him on a treacherous voyage to Rome. In this narrative, which is known as one of the most historically detailed accounts of an ocean voyage, Luke relates the perils of Paul’s situation, and emphasizes God’s power at work over and through dangerous natural and human forces. But more specifically we see God’s providential care of a man, Paul, who had faith to believe in God’s Word in the midst of a terrifying storm, and lead unbelievers to peace, comfort and physical safety. In this lesson we learn that as we have faith in God’s sovereign care in the storms of life, He will calm our spirits and enable us to bear witness to His name.
