Look at Christ’s Pursuit of Glory | John 17:1-5
Christ lived his life for the glory of God, so what does he mean when he asks the Father to glorify him in John 17:1-5? All the works the Son did during his earthly walk were bringing glory the Father, as all of his works revealed the Father’s redemptive plan for his people. When the Son was crucified, he was also glorified, and this final work of Jesus seals the redemptive plan of God, the new covenant. The Father is glorified in this, as is the Son, and eternal life is obtained for his people.
