In an earlier study we defined wisdom as the skill of living under God and for God. In our passage for this study the father continues to lay out the benefits of wisdom for the individual (vv. 13-26) while relating wisdom to a tree of life, which is representative of Christ, bringing people from death to life for all who take hold of Him. But the father also provides practical guidance for how this true life, found in Christ, is lived out and made manifest in a community of believers (vv. 27-35) in a culture where death and darkness reign. In this message we learn that Christ restores us to that life and happiness which we lost in Adam and calls us to live it out in the life of the church.
- Lay hold of what you lost in Adam (vv. 1-26)
- Share what you received in Christ (vv. 27-35)
