God’s Presence = Protection + Provision | Genesis 26:1-33

God’s Presence = Protection + Provision | Genesis 26:1-33

When God prevented Isaac from leaving the land promised to Abraham, his obedient father, God renewed the covenant with him but then had to protect Rebekah from Abimelech when Isaac lied about her. After this the Lord confirmed His promise to bless Abraham’s seed by providing crops, flocks, servants, and especially water in the wilderness wells that Isaac dug, in spite of the unjust opposition from Gerar, ultimately enabling him to dwell in peace in Beersheba. In this study we learn that God’s people can live with the joyful assurance that God is with them, to protect and provide, in every circumstance of life.
