God Moves in a Mysterious Way (Part 1) | Genesis 37:1-17
Chapter 37 marks a new stage in Genesis, focusing on Joseph, Jacob’s son. The narrative shows God’s providence safeguarding the Messianic line, as His plan unfolds through Joseph despite his brothers’ wrongdoing and his father’s favouritism. Joseph receives two prophetic dreams from God, foretelling his future status above his family and their eventual salvation. His brothers react with increased hatred and ultimately sell him into slavery. In this study we learn that God always accomplishes His plans and works all things for the good of those who love Him, even when circumstances tell us otherwise.
