Count Your Blessings | Ephesians 1:3
Having introduced himself and provided a general greeting (vv. 1-2), Paul immediately breaks out in what we might call a song of praise to God for all the Lord’s rich blessings He has bestowed upon the believer in Christ. Starting from verse three Paul does not draw breath until v. 14, where he closes off his one-sentence (in the Greek) adoration of God, with the third pronouncement of “praise of his glory” (vv. 6, 12, 14). In this lesson we explore the multitude blessings given to the children of God and learn what the right response should always be. We learn that the blessed person has received God’s best in Christ and gives back their best in praise.
