Gary grew up in Timor Leste (formerly known as East Timor). He and his family migrated to Australia late 1977. Gary attended church a few times during high school but it was not until 1980 that he truly repented, believed in the Lord and was then baptised into Christ. Since then, his spiritual life began to grow and he served in a local Chinese church, including as an Elder for 15 years. Gary and his wife Esther joined Hills Bible Church in January 2025. They have a strong desire for serving the Chinese ministry and discipling people towards maturity in Christ. Outside of church, Gary previously worked in telecommunications. He currently works in the postal industry and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren.
