Triumphant and Changeless Grace

Triumphant and Changeless Grace

His work on the Cross was one in which the Father and the Son were united in the common task of saving lost sinners, and what Christ bore he bore without any sense of personal desert. He willingly bowed under the weight of a judgement whose justness only the understanding of the one who was sinless could grasp fully, and he bowed under it because from eternity he had purposed to do so. And thus it is that at the Cross, God’s triumphant and changeless grace is exhibited in space and time, his holiness is revealed through the necessity of the Cross, and in that revelation is also seen the sinfulness of sin.”
