The doctrine of the Final Judgment is a doctrine we should learn and teach. But not simply for head knowledge. Rather, we are looking for heart transformation. In this life.
God has every right to abandon us all to our own demise and eternal destruction, for none of us deserved more. But He hasn’t. Despite our sinful ways, God chose to do what none of us deserved… to reach out in love and save us.
Yet my heart goes out to those oblivious to the judgement of God especially given our churches seem to do little to teach of it and highlight to people their need for a Saviour.
What characteristics are indicative of genuine salvation? Are these characteristics evident in your life? I came across the this list which was useful for me to evaluate the health of my relationship with God.
