It is directly related to how we personally view God. Do we see the power of God, His majesty and His Glory and in response humble ourselves. Or are we more impressed with how God uses US? Is God our focus – or are we?
We cannot love others if we don’t hate the sin that is crippling their lives, not to mention our own!
How do you define a spiritual gift when, for example, there are people who are very good teachers but not Christians? And if someone with those attributes becomes a Christian, do those skills automatically become a ‘spiritual gift’.
Worry… surely one of the basic banes of humanity. How much time and energy do we spend worrying? Where does it get us? What good does it pose?
Pride is the main obstacle in our hearts that stops us coming to God. It is the spiritual disease that puts the focus on oneself and not on God. It is a condition that is inherit in all of us.
To serve God and others is a privilege we should all cherish and never take for granted. It is also important to serve with the right motives.
