What do we say of those who have professed to be Christians, and even showed a lot of evidence in their lives, yet choose to go their own way, not ever appearing to ‘return’ to the Lord. How do we explain that?
How do you define a spiritual gift when, for example, there are people who are very good teachers but not Christians? And if someone with those attributes becomes a Christian, do those skills automatically become a ‘spiritual gift’.
God shows His grace and mercy to us through Christ by giving us what we don’t deserve in the gift of salvation and eternal life with Him, thereby taking away our deserved punishment of death and eternity separated from God.
We all make mistakes, so we need to be patient with each other when we slip up, encouraging one another to learn from our mistakes.
