The Mystery of Christ Revealed

The Mystery of Christ Revealed

The Mystery of Christ Revealed | Ephesians 3:1-7

Having unveiled to us the details of the new humanity in Christ, the church, through the use of three metaphors (2:19-22), Paul, it seems, begins to pray for his recipients (3:1). But as he begins, he is redirected to consider further the mystery of the Gentiles’ inclusion into the people of God. It will only be in 3:14 where he picks up his prayer once more. In this Holy Spirit-inspired diversion, we learn more about the Apostles perspective on his work, his hope, and the gospel he is called to preach. We learn that when we understand the grace that enlists us into the work of God through the gospel, we will be joyfully steadfast in trial and eager ministers of that same grace.
