Missions Conference | 18-20 Nov 2022

Hills Bible Church welcomes Ryan Robertson, President of Reaching & Teaching, as our featured speaker for this year’s Missions Conference. Ryan will be joined by Andrew Jones of SIM and Garry McCay of New Tribes Mission. Our Missions Conference will span over 3 days, starting 7 pm Friday 18 Nov and continuing through to an ‘all church’ EQUIP class at 9:30 am on Sunday morning. Ryan Robertson will conclude the conference by delivering a sermon based on Psalm 97, titled ‘Our Glorious and Righteous King’, during our regular Sunday Morning Service.

Important information:

  1. Complimentary dinner is provided on Saturday night although registration is required.
  2. If your child is new to the HBC community and you would like to include them in Saturday’s Children’s Program, please fill in a kids’ ministry enrolment form.
  3. Submit your question for Q&A panel.

OUR SPEAKERS

Ryan Robertson | President | Reaching & Teaching

President of Reaching & Teaching, as our featured speaker for this year’s Missions Conference. Ryan has served as the President of Reaching & Teaching since April 2020 and is also co-host of the 9Marks Missions Talk Podcast. He has served in executive leadership positions for public companies and other non-profit organisations, as well as holding board member positions in several charities. In 2014, he obtained his CPA from the State of Massachusetts and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Missiology program at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ryan and his wife, Erin, have three children and are members of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, where Ryan serves as an elder.

 

Andrew Jones | Project Manager | SIM International

Andrew Jones has been crossing culture, ethnic, organisational and generational, all his life. His formative years were spent in a village of 300 people in northern Benin and at an international boarding school in Nigeria. Over the past twenty years, Andrew has engaged thousands of people internationally and in Australia through his leadership development and training facilitation consulting roles. He is a gregarious and perceptive public speaker and facilitator whose focus is on improving the self-awareness, performance and ongoing effectiveness of leaders, teams and organisations.
Business as Mission is a particular area of passion for Andrew. This passion has taken Andrew to Asia, India and Africa in various business development and empowerment roles. He is currently working with several sites in southern Africa to address food wastage and supply chain logistics with a view to empowering local farmers while bringing them the Good News of Jesus Christ.

 

Garry McCay | New Tribes Mission

Garry and Faith have served with New Tribes Mission (PNG) in the province of East New Britain since 1999. They are involved in a church planting ministry among the Kol tribe, a people group located mainly in the interior region of the island. Both of their children lived (and home-schooled) in the tribe with them. Their names are Claire (now 24 years old) and Kade (now 19 years old)
