About Us

About Us

We are a  church family that consists of young and old with a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds. Hills Bible Church was formed in 2009 and moved to its current location in 2013.  It is our mission to:

KNOW God’s Word (2 Timothy 2:15)

LIVE by God’s Word (1 Peter 1:22 – 2:3)

COMMIT to God’s work (Romans 12:1-2)

IMPACT God’s world (Matthew 28:18-20)

This carried out by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ in our local communities and to the least reached peoples of the earth. Hills Bible Church is a Reformed Baptist congregation, meeting at 5 Burwood Hwy, Wantirna (Melbourne School of Theology), in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. We are robustly evangelical in theology, upholding the centrality of the gospel with a strong Bible teaching ministry. We are convinced that the Word of God alone can give you the “wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Tim 3:15b).

SUNDAYS AT HBC

9:30 AM           Equip Classes

During this time there are classes for children and adults. Through the children’s Sunday School, we endeavour to help teach our children to know God, love God, and commit to God’s mission. This will be done through the activities of instruction, singing, activities, and teaching. The adult classes will be tailored to address each sphere of life. They will include teaching on topics such as: parenting, evangelism, missions, relationships, church history, Biblical counselling, theology, Bible survey, biographies, and preaching.

10:30 AM        Worship Service

The weekly assembling together by the whole congregation for public worship is the most important gathering in our church (Heb. 10:24-25). It will consist of the Biblically required components of praise, prayers, public reading of scripture, preaching, and the practice of the ordinances. We believe it is important for families to be in this service together as the Scriptures do not speak of a segregation of family in the context of worship but assume the gathering together of the people of God with their families (Deut. 31:12-13; Ezra 10:1; Neh. 12:43).

5:00 PM            Engage Service

Each service will have a brief talk and Q&A on a single topic that addresses problems people have with the Christian faith. We aim to address apologetic related matters for the purpose of (1) strengthening the faith of our youth and young adults and equipping them to respond to objections to Christianity and (2) reaching unbelievers who are questioning the claims of Christianity.

You are welcome to visit us!
